SCTC offers 17 programs in which adults can be career-ready in as little as nine months. Along with our other adult-only full-time programs, adults may apply to vocational or technical programs taught primarily to high school students. This type of training is referred to as “Intergenerational.”

Full-time intergenerational study consists of classes operating five hours daily, from 8:15 a.m. – 10:50 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. to 2:40 p.m., for 180 days during the high school academic year. Students have the opportunity to earn industry certifications (which vary by program), learn from our industry-trained staff, and receive a diploma upon successful completion of the program requirements.

Cosmetologists have a passion for beauty, and they use hair, make up and nail design to express their creativity.  Cosmetologists may work flexible schedules, and they may even open their own salon.  Helping clients to look and feel their best is one of the many rewards of being in the cosmetology field.

COSMETOLOGIST
Become a fully licensed Cosmetologist. Job opportunities exist in salons, or graduates can become self-employed.
LENGTH: 42 wks., 1,250 hours.

CERTIFICATION: PA Skills Certificate/Pennsylvania Cosmetology Board-Operator

COSMETOLOGY TEACHING LICENSE
This program will provide training to become a certified cosmetology instructor.
LENGTH: 20 wks., 600 hours
TUITION: $4,800
CERTIFICATION: Pennsylvania Cosmetology Board-Teacher

ESTHETICIAN PROGRAM
Learn skin care techniques to become a fully licensed Esthetician.
LENGTH: 10 wks. 300 hrs.
TUITION: $3,000
CERTIFICATIONS: Pennsylvania Cosmetology Board-Esthetician

NAIL TECHNICIAN
Learn basic manicure and pedicure techniques, artificial nail application, and nail design. Students eligible for state board exam upon completion.
LENGTH: 7 wks. 200 hours
TUITION: $2,000
CERTIFICATION: Pennsylvania Cosmetology Board-Manicurist
